PE day and kit
Due to the current climate, the children in Reception will not be taking part in PE sessions. The children will take part in physical exercises each day in the outdoor area as part of their learning. We will let you know when the children are taking part in PE and will require a PE kit.
Each week the children in Reception will be given a home learning sheet that outlines the tasks for them to do at home. They will be given this sheet on Monday and they can complete the learning on Wednesday afternoon when they are at home and can bring their learning back into school by Friday. They will also be set tasks to complete on Purple Mash.
The children will also be set an ongoing Topic project, which will be linked to our current topic. This will be a project the children can work on at home and bring in at any time throughout the half term. This will be shared with the class and celebrated on our Learning Journey wall.
Please ensure your child brings their book bag into school every day. The class teacher or Teaching Assistant will listen to your child read during the week and will change their book once they have heard them read.
Our class bubble has a handwashing area and a hygiene station. We make sure that we wash our hands lots of times in the day and we have all been taught about 'Catch it, Bin it, Kill it'. We can still do lots of playing with fun equipment and resources, but these get cleaned regularly and we don't share our resources with other bubbles. Reception class eat our lunch in the hall, but we do not mix with any other bubbles. We get lots of fresh air throughout the day and Reception class have our own zone to play outside.
